With Denis Villeneuve's Dune adaptation on the horizon, it's time to look back to David Lynch's much maligned 1984 version of Dune. This video is a comparative analysis of Dune and the original Star Wars, with a specific emphasis on how Lynch and Lucas each go about world building while also telling a sci-fi adventure story on a backwater desert planet.
